Qatar Petroleum has let a contract to McDermott International Inc. for detailed design of offshore jackets for the expansion of giant offshore North natural gas field. The project will add 4.6 bcfd of production capacity in the southern part of the field and includes expansion of LNG production capacity to 100 million tonnes/year from 77 million tpy.
